There is no practical difference between Wolfram One and Mathematica in your usage as demonstrated in WL100.01's first two lectures. For WMTC participants, the coaches are offered Wolfram One and the students are offered Mathematica.

Mathematica Installation (Students)
There is nothing unusual about Mathematica's installation and activation compared to other software. But if you are having difficulties, please let us know. We will also make a tutorial on how to install it.
